This very interesting and informative movie, by Sofia Pineda Ochoa, MD., illustrates and explains what life may be like in 2050 if we continue business as usual. From oceans filled with more plastic than fish to a global food shortage.

The movie is narrated by Sofia herself, who is a former professor of Biochemistry at the University of Guadalajara’s School of Medicine, Mexico. As a former educator, Sofia manages to explain complex scientific literature in a way that is both accessible and highly interesting.

Although the movie covers many topics, each one is fascinating on its own and merits our consideration. In addition to educating on the benefits of a plant-based diet, the movie also educates on other topics such as population, CO2 emissions, and plastic.
