Rescued Chicken Watches TV While Recovering From Injury
Although they were not held in tiny cages, they were nevertheless facing execution at the young age of 2-3 years. Indeed, much like dogs and cats, chickens can live 10-15 years! Conversely, commercial egg farms slaughter and replace the entire coop with young chickens, as soon as the older chickens begin to lay fewer eggs.
Luckily for Strawberry the chicken, she ended up in the most loving home after she was adopted by a kind couple. When the vet told the couple that Strawberry needed to rest her leg in order to recover from an injury, they two did everything to make her as comfortable as possible.
After making sure she was warm and had food and water near her, they noticed the chicken was still a little restless. They soon realized she was simply bored! The idea of a chicken who watches TV may sound odd, but thanks to the couple's creative thinking, Strawberry was kept entertained throughout her recovery!
