Animals who are sent to slaughter are aware that something is not right. Oftentimes, they are loaded to the transportation trucks with violence, which makes them terrified for their lives. But there is no escape.
Slaughterhouse reaction
Upon arrival, they are greeted with more violence, forcing them to leave the truck and go in a certain direction. Many of the animals have a very evolved sense of smell and are able to easily detect stress in the urine of other animals, or the smell of blood. In addition, slaughterhouses are very noisy places, with everything frightening sounds of metals clashing against each other to paralyzing screams.
Hidden victims
The animals who are sent to slaughter beg us to let them go. But most of us never see the animal victims behind meat products, We have no idea how hard they fight to live, or how loud they cry when they are taken to slaughter. Let’s stop looking the other way. After all, we owe them at least that much.
