Millions of baby chicks are ground up alive every day around the world. Since male chicks will not grow to lay eggs, the egg industry kills them all on their first day of life.

All commercial egg farms buy their laying hens from industrial hatcheries such as the one exposed in this video. Since they kill their laying hens when their egg production declines, they need to 'replace' all the hens new every few years.

These hatcheries breed the chicks who will grow to live miserable lives in egg farms. Since the hatcheries can only sell the females, the males get killed in horrible ways such as being shredded alive.
